Building an on-premises Analytical Data Platform
Since 2017, Adastra has played a significant role in designing and developing a big data analytics platform for one of the top 5 Czech banks, which operates on-premises. Our deliverables include ongoing solution development and service support. From initial lab experiments to real-time production, Adastra continuously strategizes platform upgrades for enhanced efficiency.
Our collaboration with this project started during the design phase and involved hardware selection, capacity planning, and integration setup to data warehouses. Starting as a Cloudera “lab solution”, the platform evolved into a production platform for batch data uploads. For the production operation, we provided administration and documentation from inception and continue to offer L2 support.
Currently, we ensure long-term operations, including Cloudera distribution upgrades, hardware refreshers, and compliance with evolving bank standards. The platform supports dozens of applications and hundreds of advanced analytics tasks, serving as the foundation for various application solutions.
